Hi everyone , I'm new here and look forward to the WSGF community .

I have dual sli 480's and play BFBC2 in surround . Im purchasing a 3rd card to tri sli and have 1 monitor for 1 GPU . Have things changed with this game as far as tri sli issues ?

Any advice is greatly appreciated :D

Not sure about Tri-SLI, but if you try playing BFBC2 vanilla in surround it'll just crash all the time. Vietnam works OK, though.

DICE have said that they're working on a patch to fix it... but that was months ago.

You might have the issue with crashing to desktop that many surround users have, but if not, the game does indeed scale well with 3-way SLI of 480's , which is what I play with. FPS averages about 80 to 90ish with 5760x1080 resolution and Maxed settings except ambient Occlusion.

i use tri sli with 480s on surround and the load is split evenly over the 3 cards and performs very well.
My fps is locked at 60(vsync on) with everything maxed out except aa which is at 4.

I do get ctd's but not that often, most nights i can play fine all night, other days i might get 1 during the night.

I am currently running 3x580s in trisli and having lots of stuttering in bc2 even with vsync on! With 2x580s in sli bc2 runs perfectly.

Bc2 is the only game that has issues with 3x580s in surround. Everything else run flawlessly!

So I don't recommend you to buy a third 480 to play bc2, but if you want to do an upgrade it's better to sell your 2x48's and get 2x580s instead of getting a third card.

Thanks for your replies everyone . I did end up getting the third card and it didnt make any difference . I might sell all three cards and get 2x 580's . I was hoping BF3 would have better support for Sli but I dont want to take the chance .

@ tet5uo , what drivers are you running for your 480's ?
