From the looks of it they are doing it with out the need of Display Port so that is awesome.

The Images shown are with the acer 3D monitor and you can see it in this link and it does not have a DP port.

Yea, but seeing the monitor does no good. It could still be using an adapter.

Anyway I am going to have to buy 3 new 120Hz monitors AND get them in place without alerting the wife! ;)

And Paddy is right, thanks Matrox you started it (pretty much), it was awesome, but it is time to move on.... Dopefish will probably throw the TH2Go unit in the bin that I sent him now LOL

I wonder if you can have more than 3 monitors for 3D Surround or not? Eyefinity has the capacity for 24.

Edit: Not that I would ever use that much, it was just a thought.

Also, wouldn't having to rewrite the image 2 times over plus 3 monitors be a pain in the rear end?

What adapter do you think it would be using. It isn't using a Matrox adapter if it is 3D from what I understand Matrox does not support 120hz displays.

So it would have to be an adapter from NVIDIA which would be cool to.....

I was assuming that you were comparing it to Eyefinity which needs one DP capable monitor a DP-DVI adapter. The 3D thing and triple-monitor thing keep getting shoved together. I wish they would stop referring to them as the same thing.

As someone who has used nVidia cards to triple-head game since 2006 using Matrox products, all I can say is it's about time. It's a shame it took till now for ATI to force nVidia's hand on this and see there is an actual pre-existing market for multi-GPU multi-display gaming. I really suggest nVidia take a very close look at the Wide Screen Gaming Forum and use that location as a sounding board for the 3D Vision Surround capability. This community has been established for years and will be a great resource for the new capability.

I saw what you did

HAHA I was comparing them. And yea there triple monitor thing supports 3D they are not referring to them as the same thing they have already said and of course you can run it in 2D haha.
