We need to open peoples eyes to the greatness that widescreen gaming brings to the table. All of my friends I show are amazed and want to invest in the technology. I am starting to post videos up on youtube to spread the word. I just finished my first knife throwing montage and you can check it out here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EV674pcRTn8

Tell me what you all think. I had some editing problems with adobe premiere so i couldnt do any uber slow mo or blur in effects. I dont know why. Maybe its the codec im usining. Anywas thanks to dopefish cause without him this video would not be possible! Thanks bro!

I give you, official beta drivers, I'm tempted to download them when I get home.

http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/release-256-forceware-drivers-optimus,news-33544.html <-- Article that informed me

http://blogs.nvidia.com/ntersect/2010/05/introducing-the-new-256-driver-release.html <-- Blog that informed them

http://www.nvidia.com/Download/Find.aspx <-- If you don't know where to download the drivers

Read the blog and found this:

3D Vision Surround – Like you, we really wanted support for NVIDIA 3D Vision Surround in this first release, however, our software team is currently making some final improvements to the driver. As Tom mentioned here, Surround will be ready in the second release that is targeted for the end of June. We look forward to introducing 3D Vision Surround to you next month!

Also from reading the blog I don't know if it will do surround, at least its not directly mentioned.
New Multi-GPU Setup Controls – If you’ve got more than one NVIDIA GPU in your PC, you want to have detailed controls for them in order to get the most out of your PC. Release 256 adds a new SLI and PhysX configuration page that not only makes setup easy but also gives you more control over how your GPUs are configured. So, if you want to pair two GPUs in SLI mode and dedicate the third to PhysX, no problem. If you want to activate all three of your displays and then optimize for highest performance in that configuration—you’re golden. The new page even has real-time visual feedback. And, finally, for those customers that want to select which GPU their CUDA applications run on, the Manage 3D Settings page now has a ‘CUDA – GPUs’ option to enable this.

The bit in bold might be surround but it might just be having the 3 displays on at a time, not spanned.

Edit Edit Edit: I asked in the comments if it supports surround or not, they appear to use 3D Vision Surround and Surround as if they are interchangeable.

Im running these beta drivers for two days, the performance is nice, you can select the GPU to calculate physX etc..., but unfortunately the 257.15 drivers dont support surround, we'll have to wait till the end of june.

I'll try it anyway, at the very least i would like to know if it'll let me use the HDMI port with SLI on.

Edit: Well it kinda worked, I can't enable quad SLI without disabling the HDMI, I couldn't enable 3way SLI as that disabled the HDMI on the main card, I could however enable 2way SLI on my main GTX295, connect my HDMI cable to my second card, and dedicate the second GPU on my second card to PhysX.

I would of liked to, at the very least, been able to have the GPU the HDMI cable was on disabled off SLI and have the other 3 GPUs run in SLI mode, I could of then pointed PhysX to the GPU with the HDMI on it. But oh well, if anyone manages to setup something like that let me know.

Oh one thing I should mention, updating from 196.75 with a setup to run with Matrox @ 5040x1050@59 give me 0 problems, it installed restarted, PowerDesk detected change, ask me to restart, all came back up with 5040x1050@59 intact, which makes a nice change.
