I am running a 2600k, 8GB and GTX480 SLI (@825mhz) and I get the same thing.

I can run single screen maxed out in Ultra and the game is silky smooth.

When I go to surround, it does not matter how low I make the settings, the game runs very poorly.

I was living with it for the most part until I went back to BC2 for a bit and remembered how smooth that game is in surround.

My opinion is that the last patch to the game messed it up - I don't think it's your system.

tested using just 2 way sli instead of 3 and still not smooth. I've given up and this point and dont expect it to be fixed.
i am now using a 3960 cpu on a rampage 4 extreme mobo and the only difference in bf3 is that my gpu/cpu load has dropped from about 50 % usage to around 40%. So it still looks like the issue is with the coding of bf3 and/ or drivers

Perhaps the huge 'balancing' patch coming 'soon' will have some other tweaks in it too? That said, DICE don't exactly have a stellar reputation for supporting widescreen or triplewide. ;)
