So I'm using two monitors in an extended mode because they are of different resolutions and Nvidia Surround doesn't work right. One is UltraWide and another one is a regular 19:6. I'm using a combined resolution of 4480x1080 in X-Plane and it works. The only problem I notice is that when I move my head up or down there is a sort of distortion where one monitor will move faster than the other. Is there a fix for this or will I just have to live with it?

Could be a performance-related issue ? I haven't fired up X-Plane in ages but AFAIK, although it supports extended resolutions the engine does not "spread" performance equally between the two monitors (or sth to that effect). Weird that you would notice it when looking up/down and not left/right, though.

Apparently there's a clever way of using slave view with multiple instances of the program, dunno if that'd help but it sounds perfect for asymmetric multi-mon: http://forums.x-plane.org/index.php?/fo ... e-windows/
