I'm a little confused as to what you were trying to do. To do multi-monitor gaming, all of your monitors need to be hooked up to the GPU from one manufacturer. Either you do on a single card, or a CrossFire (AMD) or SLI (NVIDIA) setup. You cannot game on both AMD and NVIDIA cards at the same time. Starting with Windows 7 you can run both AMD and NVIDIA drivers at the same time. People do this to run PhysX (NVIDIA) and Eyefinity (AMD). Or, simply run multiple single monitors at the same time. But you can't link monitors across GPUs from different companies, or even multiple GPUs not properly set up in CrossFire or SLI. What setup were you trying to do? How many monitors were you trying to set up. It sounds like eight. But the max on NVIDIA is five, and the max on AMD is six. |
