Ah, I've seen this, it works by basically having a TH2Go Imbedded into the card. It splits the DL-DVI on one of the ports into up to 3 displays. |

Well, the new GK104 chip is gonna have 2xDVI, HDMI and a Displayport! And there are rumours that they'll run Surround from a single Card. |

I expect that the HDMI port will be cloned out of one of the DVI ports, so it'll be mixed-output single-card Surround, like EyeFinity was with two DVI + disport. |

On Kepler, I'll believe it when I see it. NVIDIA is heavily dependent upon the SLI engine for Surround. It would require a total rewrite of how the engine handles Surround. There are already 2 DVI + 1 DP NVIDIA cards out there. The EVGA GTX570HD for example. Ah, I've seen this, it works by basically having a TH2Go Imbedded into the card. It splits the DL-DVI on one of the ports into up to 3 displays. That's the design flaw of the whole thing though. Dual-DVI port bandwidth doesn't go that far on multi-display. We've known that since the TH2G Digital first hit market half a decade ago. Don't expect to push 120hz displays with this thing. It's pretty much a on-board single port hack instead of a really flexible solution. |

Post subject: | The Galaxy MDT card is |
The Galaxy MDT card is actually quite an epic fail. To run Surround on it, you need to run at 50Hz. 50. Hz. That means there will actually be a fair amount of monitors that probably won't do it, period. That and the fact that it's a GTX570 1.25GB... with all the attendant VRAM bottlenecks that creates. |

Thats the most likely possiblility. i think they just want to get "near" amd, not better than amd in surround... Here's whats supposed to be a picture of a GK104 PCB. If you know in what part the TMDS is built in ( maybe they're seperate... maybe they're all in one chip) we could count how many there are^^ |

thats pretty awesome. its a sad day when people are complaining that their video cards ONLY have a feable 1.25gb. my first 3d accelerator was made by rendition, had 4MB ram, and the only game it could run was Papyrus' Inndycar Racing which was DOS. later it also supported Vquake, which was awesome, but buggy. they mention the memory bottleneck when doing 3x1080, lots of people here have systems with similar vram, just means knocking textures down, still can be dealt with, and could be worth it depending on cost.. i only have 1280mem, but im only on a 3x1024 setup, so i can still play most titles on high, a few i have to bump some settings to med tho. also kinda awesome that they plug the site too |
