Post subject: | Mass Effect 2 Eyefinity w/ Widescreen Fixer r312 + Plugin Crashes |
Anyone else able to get ME2 working in Eyefinity lately - wanna finish it again before ME3 comes out? I managed to grab an older copy of Widescreen Fixer r312 (API 2.0) with the plugin fix..but it crashes just after running the video Am i doing something wrong? I launch Widescreen Fixer, set the plugin to ME2 - auto detect resolution, then I set resolution from the launcher to 5760x1080 and launch the game. I hit * on the numpad to enable the fix and the intro EA video plays and crashes right after. Any ideas? Thanks |

For Mass Effect 2 Make sure that when you are running the WSF program (and I am using the latest version updated March 3 with the MS2 Plugin) you are selecting the correct game version under Selct Game Version dripdown box under the settings for the Mass Effect 2 plugin. I was getting the same crash but I am not using steam to play the game. I am using the retail version of this game. Once I selected the retail (Collector's) version I got no more crashes. Exo |

Helifax did a great job of getting this working on Retail ME2 even on my 3 x 4:3 screens :-) I have played for 20+ Hours now and the only issues are the mouse cursor is offset in menus , the armour customisation menu and the map are also a little bit but once you get used to it out its awesome and thanks again to Helifax for fixng a game for 3 screens that couldnt be fixed :) |

I got the fix working using the retail mode, but unfortunately it's far from playable. The sidekick avatars are smack in the center of the monitor, and funnily enough my team members seem to have misplaced their bodies somewhere. |
