And can you post pictures? I think Im going to get a bigger desk. My current one is pretty old and I'm tired of adding attachments to keep it "current".

A 10year+ ugly monstrosity that has a millon scares from its life and is way to small for my monitors to actually fit on it, the monitors stands for the left and right monitors actually hang off the edge, the screen edges even more so :(

Would like a tri-mon stand, but I think a plank of mdf will be cheaper.
Pic.

I've been searching for a new desk in thrift stores. I want to be able to fit 5 30"rs in portrait.

I would love to get a corner style desk, i dont like much sitting at my desk flat on, at work we have corner desks with nice cut outs so the desk kind of surrounds you supporting my elbows, lot less back ache etc.
I could do with a new desk chair too... one day these will be mine x]

You know I think I may go up to lowes or something and build me a desk.

My dream desk would span two walls with the corner being the middle of the desk, with a higher ledge to put my monitors on and a lower area for working on things and have an easy place to mount my peripherals.

I like your thinking, I had often wanted a bench covering a wall, unfortunately spacial limitations have hindered such.

I think I may build something sooner than later. Having all these monitors on a glass desk seems really dumb.

Here's what I'm rockin:

Great desk. Center elbow has ample depth for my triple-lift stand+monitors. Have a secondary system with 19" monitor on my left and a 24" HDTV on my right (preview monitor for video editing), with gobs of surface area left over for all the other crap piled up on it. Going against convention, my desk actually faces out into the room instead of being against the wall. This gives me wall space behind my chair for a full bookcase and a shelf unit, creates a natural nook/cave/private office space for me since the room also doubles as a play area for the kids, and lets me keep an eye on said kids and other things in the house whilst being in my 'office'.

Don't buy from Ikea, though. Craigslist FTW. ;)
