I currently am running a dual monitor setup with a 23" Asus and a 19" HP on 64 bit vista. I have a 512 mb 8800 GT for a videocard, 4 gb ram and a dual core 2.2 ghz processor. Im looking to upgrade to 3 monitors and would probably get rid of the HP in favor of 2 more 23" Asus monitors. What will I need to get this working and what will I need to upgrade to handle a decent FPS in games? Thanks for the help.

You'd definitely need to upgrade your CPU and GPU. Can your motherboard support a core2quad CPU at least? For GPU, you need at least an ATI 5870.

After looking into the prices I have decided to stick with a 23" widescreen in the middle but I will have a 19" non-widescreen on either side of the 23". I believe my motherboard can support a core2quad but I definitely am working on limited funds ($300 or so is stretching it but I have the 3 monitors). For a second videocard I was looking into a 9800 GT listed here http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130339
If anyone has any suggestions on other video cards to run with my 8800 it would be very appreciated as I'm not entirely sure on which model of cards would run with it as in the 9 series or the GS250 for example. Would it be wise to upgrade from 4 gb of ram to 6 or 8 gb? I can check but I believe I currently have ddr2 ram.

4 GB of RAM is fine. More would be useless, esp. for gaming, so don't bother.
512 MB of VRAM on the other hand is a tad low for überwide resolutions and may hinder framerates even in older games...

If the combination of my 512 mb 8800 gt and the videocard I posted a link to would not be sufficient could someone post a link to a card that would be? If at all possible under $200. Thanks for the help so far guys.

I don't think there's a video card under $200 that can run triple head reasonably well. The best I can think of is maybe a gtx 260 / 275 or ATI equivalent... and it'll be pushing it.

A 9800 GT is barely an upgrade over an 8800 GT, they're both G92 with very similar specs.
