What's a good RTS game for Eyefinity that will run at 5760 x 1080? I tried Earth 2160, but the menu screens were stretched to point where I couldn't read them. I also tried AoE III but that had a similar problem and the FOV was too close and couldn't zoom out enough. Any recommendations? |

NONE OF THEM! Either 1) The HUD is stretched 2) Horrible Fish-eye effect 3) The HUD is on opposite sides Ive tried it on DoW2 and CoH, both support the resolution natively. DoW2 is the more playable of the two, but scrolling from one side to another in landscape takes too long. Unless you want to give up hotkeys, you cant use the arrows either. Portrait mode is much better, though the bezels sometimes interfere. Even then, you need to find a camera hack that lets you pan out more, otherwise you have gigantic units. I know World in Conflict works, so you can try that. Supreme commander should be good too since the UI is completely customizable, and I think there is a constant camera angle for the entire map. |

Have you tried Empire Total War? I have it on my steam account but it's not installed yet. |

The Total War series games are good. Also Civilization 4 series work good too. C&C3 series are pretty much broken though. So I've got 2 posative recommendations and one negative. |

I gave World in Conflict demo a try, but it just crashes on startup. Supreme commander demo works no problems, so I might get the full version of that. |

What's a good RTS game for Eyefinity that will run at 5760 x 1080? Edit the game.cfg file in the Age3Startup folder. Change the lines maxZoom=xxx normalZoom=xxx I have them set at 160 and 120. Works great. You'll also want to reduce the default cloud values from these: wmCloudFreq=0.1 wmCloudPersistence=0.3 wmCloudOctaves=4 wmCloudTimeScale=0.0005 |
