Just recently I thought I would try a sort of "crappy multimonitor setup"
that is : my main 1680x1050 LCD + another old 1024x768 one connected to the second display output of my GTX285
a reboot later it worked in extended desktop mode and I must admit I had some fun putting rivatuner hardware monitor or even some defrag software there while gaming ....

however I just noticed that my GPU power savings were disabled in multimonitor mode (besides the fact that it was in front of my eyes the whole time  )

a quick search lead me to find that this is intended behavior

however I don't quite like it
and ended up just now disabling my extended desktop

Is there any way to fix that situation ? I think I could always use rivatuner to force manual power savings, but I believe there's probably latencies & voltage adjustments which would probably be lost in the process
