Im running: i7 920 Do @ 3.6 Asus Rampage 2 Extreme 12GB Corsair Dominator DDR3 BFG GTX 295 H20c All watercooled through a feser xchanger 480 etc. etc. Ive been thinking long and hard about getting a 30" and decided for less money I could get 3 Asus 25.5" screens. My problem is that my GTX295 only has 2 dvi outputs. My idea is to purchase a 9800 GTX or similar to run as dedicated physx and extra monitor outputs. If I install this extra card will I be able to run all 3 asus monitors at their native resolution in windows? gaming (like fsx)? will I be able to use it for dedicated physx to take a little bit of the load off my main card? Am I forgetting anything? Thanks! |

Windows = YES Games = NO (unless you go crazy with stuff like softth. My Rec: go for the 3 screens, but instead of an extra gpu, buy matrox triplehead2go, that way you will have 3 screen display for windows and games. |

I should note TH2Go won't work with 3 25.5'' monitors, well not at native resolutions, to add more details here are your options that I'm aware off: 1: TH2Go with 3 monitors that has a ress of 1680x1050 2: 3 monitors + SoftTH (note sure if there is a res limit) SoftTH is a software based TripleHead system, the result is it will run slower then TH2Go hardware solution. 3: 3 monitors + ATI Eyefinity graphics card, this is relatively new so doesn't have as much support as TH2Go does, this means in a good number of games you might have to hack in the resolution you want to use. 4: Get the 30'' monitor and not worry about TripleHeading. More information can be found in the FAQ's and Wikis in the menu to the left. |

Buy a ATI 5870 and use EyeFinity, you'll save yourself $300 on the Th2go and you'll be able to use 1920x1200 on your 25.5" monitors instead of going with a lower non-native 1680x1050. |

Whats even weirder is I get a 5700x1000 (or something, from recollection) now after manually adding each monitor driver, monitor by monitor. Which is no good to me as the display cannot even show it. Just how exactly is NV Surround detecting native resolutions? |

did you do bezel correction or not? Tried on an off, how would it have any effect? At 3840 or whatever it is I get a 4000odd bezel correct resolution. |

I cant even get my bezel correction to work, after i get done telling it how many pixels to use it just exits when i hit OK and does nothing... |

Doesnt it create a new res that you have to then select? I dont think its meant to do anything when you click Ok. Least that how mine works. On my original issue, seems that 2d Surround needs fairly similar monitors too. Selling this awful Acer monitor and trying to pickup a cheap used Samsung 225BW to compliment the Dells. The Dell models are out of production now so hard to find an exact replacement. |
