I have a thought..

ok I know dual link dvi cable max out at
5040x1050 at 57hz.

that is going From the PC/VideoCard to the Th2G.

so why can't the Th2G just output to the monitor at 1680x1050 at 60hz?
it's not like thats out of spec for DVI.

I'm not a Electrical Engineer so I don't know the details of this but it seems logical to me.

perhaps a future firm update from Matrox to make more people have their monitor work with 1050?

Maybe it just slipped their mind or they didn't consider so many monitors actually don't support the non-standard 57Hz. It's certainly doable (as discussed in the hardware section), they just need to release another firmware update.

i REALLY HOPE SO!

I'm currently on my 4th set of 3x 24" monitor trying to find the perfect set for 1050 triplehead gaming.

Set #1: 24" Acers just see if my system can support 3x 24"LCD
ser #2: Soyo. feels cheap and fugly monitors but display picture is nice
set #3: Dell e248wfp. image quality want to make me puke
set #4: BenQ G2400WD great monitor but it crap out on 57hz :( might be keeping. I hope matrox do that firmware as I want to keep these. nice picture for price, HDM/DVI/VGA, fast response time and no input lag.
