I am having trouble getting my view angle to go beyond a certain point in Lock On. I have made several adjustments as suggested by various online forums (including a post in this forum). I have tried changing my default and max angle to 170 in view.lua, view.cfg, cockpit.lua. The aspect ratio is just fine. It just seems that no matter what I change the view angles to, it never zooms out past a certain point.

I am just wondering if there is anyone out there who has found a real solution to this problem. I have my resolution set to 3840x768. The cockpit view is showing up on all three monitors and I would like to zoom out until it is only in the center monitor (or close to being all in the center monitor). I could have sworn that I had this working once upon a time, but it's been a while since I've had all three monitors connected.

Thanks for any help you can give with this!
Aaron

I am unaware of a fix for the extremely annoying inability to zoom out from the cockpit view.

I had this problem WAY back when using a Matrox Parhelia card in triplehead... and unfortunately it seems that ED never solved this issue.

I've read somewhere that the new helo-sim they are working on will fix this.... but I just wish they would spend a bit of time to solve this issue in LOMAC as it would make for an INCREDIBLE TripleHead experience....

Maybe I'm being too picky. I managed to get results that look about like this: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=17306 Mine is a little shorter since my monitors are widescreen.

I just want to be able to zoom out a little more. I haven't tried connecting my TrackIR yet. Maybe the experience will be more bearable by being able to look around.

The experience is definitely more bearable with TrackIR, but it seems that you've gotten it to the best it can be.

Matrox has stated that the triplehead zoom limitations will be fixed in Eagle Dynamics' upcomging title DCS: Black Shark. It's unfortunate that they won't patch the old software, though, since Lock On and Black Shark are two very different sims (one is a somewhat detailed survey sim, the other is an ultra-realistic Ka-50 simulator).

From my dealings with ED, they are fully aware of the zoom problem and have expressed a desire to look into patching the old version of Lock:On for Triplehead2go.

With the upcoming DCS release, they obviously don't have the bandwidth to look at this now, but i'm sure that polite user feedback posted on their forums regarding the issue wouldn't hurt. If anything it would help keep the issue fresh and show that there is truly a demand for a fix:

I added my voice to this over at a TH2Go thread. I suggest others do the same:
