Hi everyone, SGU v2.05 has been released and can be downloaded at: http://www.matrox.com/graphics/surroundgaming/en/downloads/sgu The following titles were added: -Crashtime (Alarm for Cobra 11) -DiRT (Colin McRae’s) -Escape from Paradise City -Galactic Assault: Prisoner of Power -Gears of War -Neverwinter Nights 2: Mask of the Betrayer -S.T.A.L.K.E.R. – Shadow of Chernobyl -Sins of a Solar Empire -The Witcher -Timeshift -Enemy Territory: Quake Wars -Dawn of Magic Obviously most of these adds aren't new news for you Widescreen Gaming forum folks, but feel free to spread the word outside the community. Our next update will be including Everquest II, Space Shuttle Mission 2007, Combat Mission Shock Force, and Warbirds (among others). These have all been patched by the developers so they have native support. Cheers, Mark |

Does it really make sense to add The Witcher as a "natively supported title"? For a game to be included in the list of supported games above, it has to meet the following criteria:Yes, there are anomalies in 3D scenes, like real-time cutscenes and dialogs. Sorry but I just finished this awesome game and in spite of the fact that I could choose 3840x1024 res out of the box, I still think there's a lot to fix 3D-wise to really enjoy it on TripleHead2Go. This is an RPG with lots of scripted events, short 3D scenes initiating crucial dialogs and so on, and all of this is flawed in Surround Gaming. Thanks for the heads up though  |

Thanks for your feedback scavvenjahh. The game is included because the gameplay itself is supported, but indeed we're going to try and work with the devs to fix the cutscenes also. Cheers, Mark |

Hello Mark B... as per your suggestion I called Matrox tech. support (day home from work since support works 9-4) for the problems I'm having and they referred me to this site. They said for gaming information and support this is the best place... Go Figure! I do now have the GXM working (I think) a lower level .dll error occured on first install and the tech support stated he never heard of the failure.... so I'm the lone ranger on that. (update: still having this failure and removed the program for now 3.29.08) I reinstalled the new SGU and GXM and all seems fine now. However, F1C and F1 2002 will not run in TH2G with the downlaoded support files as suggested by the SGU. The SGU has never helped me optimize a file... always crashes the game when using this program. Just wondering why Tech Support is so lame on games when that's the main use of the TH2G, RIGHT? IS there a better thread to post this concern? Thanks RAndall |

However, F1C and F1 2002 will not run in TH2G with the downlaoded support files as suggested by the SGU. I think that the SGU changes the VIDEOMODE attribute in Config.ini file and because of unknown reason, it'll cause the same behaviour as you already mentioned in this thread: http://www.widescreengamingforum.com/node/7604t=25 |

You are correct, I checked the config.ini after optimizing the F1 2002 game for surround gaming as the program calls it.... :P Something is screwy... plus even with the new version for the GXM I'm continuing to get a Lower Level .dll failure which the Matrox folks claim they have no idea what that failure is. So I believe it's something with my OS (win XP) because I'm sure if they've not seen that type of failure, I'm the lucky one... like winning the lottery.... I'm just not sure where to start.... because w/o the GXM, which mostly allows me to change resolutions (with the nvidia settings anyway) but the best part is managing the screens as three independent screens, that’s what I like about the program. I'll keep plugging away, maybe I'll get a better tech support person. RK |

I'm convinced it's something to do with your OS as well. Have you done a full reformat? and/or is your OS legit? The other "possibility" is that the unit you have happens to be defective. Although that seems like a slim chance since you're able to use it alright in a Windows/non-gaming context. The other issue might indeed be a conflict with your graphics adapter/driver although there's so many scenarios to debug in that case. I'd say your best bet is to do a full reformat if you haven't already, and take it from there. |

First Mark, I take that as an insult that "is your OS legit" Hell yes it's legit! I built a brand new high dollar PC: 2 - Nvidia GTX 8800 Ultra Over locked PNY video cards Intel's E6850 Dual Core Processor w/Monsoon CPU Cooler 4GB 1066MHz Ram Creative X-Fi Gamer Audio Card 2 - 500GB HHD 3 - 22" hp monitors Digital TH2G and much more and you think maybe i have a cracked copy of WINDOWS..... Is it Legit..... Shame on Your Sir! Actually, the weakest link of my entire system is the Matrox Triplehead 2 Go if you want the truth.... not to mention the poorly supported programs the unit offers. The GXM is crashing... ok maybe that is a corrupt file in my OS system... but the Surround gaming utility is crap and has been crap since the first day I installed the software. Is my OS legit.... that stinks Mark even from a salesman trying to pass the buck and take the heat off their backs for their product. |

Mark is just trying to rule out a possible cause of problems. Standard troubleshooting procedure. Just say yes and move on. |
