Post subject:  3840x1024 at TH2go does not function any more ?

Hello,

christmas 2007 I upgraded from Ati HD2900 to a Geforce 8800gtx.
I have always run 3840x 1024 60 hz resolution, never got any problems.

SUddenly without any reason (nothing was newly installed or configured) the 3840 resolution (under 2D 3D) became undisplayable.
THe 3 screens are flimmering with <30 hz and the top third is light blue and the bottom two thirds are darker blue(like the win XP bottom task).
there are no symbols, just the two different blue areas.
3072x768 75hz and 2400x600 are working properly

I tested the Triplehead 2 Go Analogue not succesfully with another working 8800gtx.

But 3840x1024 60hz was possible with a Ati X800 Pro under 2 D (Windows).
So the box should be operating.

I just deinstalled and reinstalled TH2GO driver and Powerdesk , but without any success.

I am at the end of my knowledge so I hope one of you has an idea.

Be sure you have the updated drivers for your 8800gtx.
I know when i updated my drivers I had problems similiar to what you are describing. It was somewhere in the driver settings that had to get changed. I wish i could remember what had to get changed and where. But it is there someplace.
Hopefully someone will pop in here with better knowledge than me to explain it better.
Yes iam running 8800 gtx with Triplehead2go Analog version on XP.

I have det. 165 (the second latest drivers) and they were working until some day last week, I did not change (settings) or install anything so there is no change in drivers.

Did you find anythng yet? Iam surprised noone has stepped up to help you out a bit more.
I wish I was better at this stuff than Iam. But as it goes I fumble around, read tons, do searches, and finally when I get stuff set up right I dont ever touch it again. Kinda lame I know, but its been a while since I have had anything mess up.
Did you go through all the Nvidia control panel settings? In "Change Resolution" do you have "Matrox" selected?
I just dont know where else to tell you to look.

This just suddenly happened to me and I didn't change anything. I also have a GeForce 8800GTX. I rebooted my computer and I got the weird flickering, a little different between the top third and the bottom two thirds. just like he describes.

So what was the fix? Reinstalling windows? Since the other modes still work, can I be reasonably sure the unit is OK and just sell it on ebay?

Confirmed. Reinstall did fix it.
