I ordered it from game.co.uk
It arrived today !
I have spent all day trying to get it to work !!!!!

Using a no-CD I got it to work ...

It is Vert- for sure ... :(

But it can be fixed ... I think ...
I haven't played too far but this seems to work ... more testing needed !

Add ... -enableconsole to the shortcut ...
in the game bring down the console ... type in ...

FOV 130

or whatever value you like !

1280x1024

3840x1024 before fix ...

3840x1024 after fix ... the camera angle changes a bit but it seems OK ... using a FOV of 130 for TripleHead ...

Multiplayer shot ...

After a bit of testing I have found that the cutscenes are taking on the FOV adjustment too but they are all displayed in a 16:9 window (black bars on the sides) and so only really require a fov of about 100.

You can reset the FOV to 100 in the console but then after the cutscene you would have to re-input it to get back the 130 needed for TH.

It isn't such a big problem just leaving it at 130.
The best solution would be to find a way to force the cutscenes to use the whole screen and then the FOV would be correct.

Also it is worth mentioning that when you respawn after dying the FOV value is retained ... 8)

I just preorder every half decent 1st or 3rd person game ... I can't help myself ...
I preordered this from game.co.uk ....
The game isn't out here in the UK until Friday but for some reason mine arrive yesterday ...
This has happened with several games for game.co.uk ... 8)

Proof I'm no pirate ...

Anyway ... it looks pretty good and the fps with everything at max is very good too.
I didn't have much time to play and test it but all looks good to me.

The problems I had ...

It took at least a half hour to install ...

Every time I tried to start it up it would drop out to desktop after a couple of mins into it whether in menu ... game ... or logging into Games for Windows- Live.
The error message says Games for Windows Live has encountered an problem and needs to close (or something like that) ...
If I closed the error box the game will close ... :(

I eventually worked out if I ignore this ... don't touch it ... and ALT-TAB back into the game then the game still worked.
It is a fix for me until they patch the issue ...

I don't know what the default is ...
I just adjusted the FOV for TH so that the view in the middle of the screen matched that of the 1280x1024 image (as best I could) ... :D

But look here near the bottom of the page ... a post by dopefish

Wow. You are a very cute puppy. It's great that talking puppies can afford purchasing their own games. Good boy!
