http://www.metacritic.com/games/platforms/xbox360/bioshock

Kristan Reed at Eurogamer gave it a 10 out of 10 and he is, IMHO, the best reviewer in the business.

What has been 2K's or and the programmers track record with regard to releasing games that had/have surround game support?

That's a good question....

I know that Irrational made the Freedom Force games...

I never played them so am unaware of their surround friendliness...

I just did a little checking, and among the games they've made that's listed(on Matrox's site)with surround support is Freedom Force.

Their other well-known title is System Shock 2,but I'm not sure if that has surround support.

Yeah... System Shock 2 was a classic. I loved that game back in the day....

Freedom Force is somewhat recent... so that is good news.

I'll keep my fingers crossed... although I would be stunned if my 7800GTX SLI rig would be able to play Bioshock at 3840x1024... although it seems they nailed the framerate on the 360 in HD so maybe that is a good sign.

Hi guys ...
I can report that it does the TripleHead Resolutions (runs great on my system 3840x1024 everything at max) ... BUT the FOV is too zoomed in ... :(
The usual Unreal engine FOV fix doesn't seem to work ... :(

I'll keep looking for an answer though ...

Doh!

I guess it is somewhat good news that it will run acceptably at that resolution.

However... one would think that they would have done something as simple as fix the FOV!!

Let's pray someone fixes this as I can only imagine how amazing this would be in triplehead.

Does this mean it is the UnrealEngine3 that is at fault, or the game developer for BioShock? It has me panicked if UnrealTournament3 does not support Widescreen.

Everything in the past points towards the UnrealEngine being easily wide adaptable. Strange.

Past unreal engines have been easy (ut2004) or hard (deus ex 2) to make ws friendly, depending who used it and how, unreal III engine shouldn't change that.
