So I picked up a TH2G for my racing PC PC is an Asus 680i with 2x 8800GTS in SLI. I have been running a 24 in Samsung 244t however I want to buy 3 LCDs The problem is do I buy 3 x 19in or 3 x 20in. I am testing 3 x 19 inc NEC and very impressed by the 3840 x 1024 however I am wondering what 3 x 20s would give me? Also is there an advantage to do 3 widescreens? Brad |

No matter what monitors you purchase, the max will be 3840x1024. Widescreen will just scale the image to 1280x1024 per panel. Some don't mind the scaling/stretching of the image when using WS monitors.... some do. I went the 20" route with 1600x1200 LCD's but made sure I was happy with the scaling to 1280x1024 on the panels first. |

Widescreen will just scale the image to 1280x1024 per panel. Not necessarily, as you can also use 3840x720, 3840x768, or 3840x800 (the last one only if you have the TH Digital Edition). Still, these are non-native resolutions for 20" widescreens monitors at 1680x1050. In my opinion the best option for triplehead is still 3 19" monitors, each with a native resolution of 3840x1024. |

I agree with JKeefe, three 19" native resolution 1280x1024 panels are the best choice. Although if you're wondering if three 20" panels would look okay, the answer is usually yes. 20" panels normally have a 1600x1200 resolution, which, when scaled down to 1280x1024 looks alright. The best way to test this is simply to go into your local retailer and test a single 20" 1600x1200 panel at 1280x1024. If you're okay with how the panel looks when at the lower res, then you're okay with how 3 of them will look! ;) If you're referring to 20.1" or 21" WIDESCREEN panels, then these will likely have a 1680x1050 resolution and in this case i would indeed advise using either a 3840x720, 3840x768, or 3840x800 resolution setting when in triplehead. Again to test how this would look, simply set a 1680x1050 panel to 1280x720, 1280x768, or 1280x800 and see how you like it. Cheers! Mark B |

I currently have a TH2Go Analog with three 22" widescreen monitors, each native 1680x1050. I play games in triplehead at 3840x1024. The is some horizontal stretching but it doesn't bother me in games. The only time it bothers me is looking at photographs. However, 3840x720 and 3840x768 are horrible, there isn't enough vertical perspective to see anything! It's like looking through the squinting eyes of a giant. If a game isn't supporting TH2Go or whatever, I just switch to the digital input of the middle monitor at 1680x1050. If I leave it in dual display mode, the side monitors can conitune to be active at 3840x1024 with an "invisible" middle monitor (beause the middle monitor is doing digital 1680x1050). Anyway, it works for me, but I'd be first in line to purchase a TH2Go with true widescreen support (5040x1050). |

19" lcds are much cheaper and only minimal smaller than 20" so I would recommend 19" :! |
