I was wondering if anyone has ripped apart a 19" lcd before and actually used it apart.

What i want to know is if there is a way that i can run my three 19" lcd's side by side without any bezel around the screen.
I want to do away with the black bars between the screens that are in this pic.
Is this doable ? thought id ask before i rip mine apart and wreck it.

I remember seeing a kit somewhere for that type of thing. It was designed for combining two monitors, but I am sure you could just get two and have the middle monitor be lacking both the left and the right bezels. Unfortunately I am not having any luck with Google on this one.

But if you do that that cool stand you have won't work anymore, will it? (You are the one with the triple monitor connecting stand, right?)

Yeah ... don't go ripping apart a good montitor or your new ones !!!
When you mentioned this in another thread I thought you would be giving it a try on an old unwanted screen.

DONT DO IT MAN!

Have you tried the 19" BenQ's have REALLY small bevels.
http://www.benq.com/products/LCD/?product=593&page=gallery

Thier bevels are 16.85mm wide.

OR:

I tell yer what. How about we do a deal. My huge 20", SEEMLESS widescreen discplay for your display. What a bargain! Only cause were best mates.

:D

1/4" bezel around the screen is much better than a full inch especially when you double that when they are together
