It seems like after the patch +cvaradd hands_fovscale 1 no longer works. I have it in my launch options and the guns are all stretched out now. I'm not even sure that the fov cvar works either.

Worked for me after I pasted the command into the rageconfig.cfg

Create a file called rageconfig.cfg in the ragebase directory, paste the commands into this file. save. run the game and be happy

Fix that includes hands_fovscale.

mov [handsfovscale], (float)0.95 // Change this value to alter Hands FOVScale

rage-gui_update_48_9.zip for 5760x1080
rage-gui_update_48_10.zip for 5040x1050

Or download either one and edit yourself. (eg. Bezel compensated)

Attached files rage-gui_update_48_10.zip (977 B) rage-gui_update_48_9.zip (976 B)

Hayden, you are awesome.

But I was wondering, is there a way to just re-enable cvaradd? It seems the patch disabled the use of cvaradd commands. I've noticed before that self shadowing on characters in Surround resolutions was terribly blocky, so I was using
cvaradd r_dimShadowForceHighQuality 1
cvaradd r_dimShadowResolution 1000
in my launch options to force all dynamic shadows to be high quality, but now that no longer works as well.
