In case no one has posted info on this yet.

The Racer_S hack for Bioshock TH2G does work on the steam version. Without any problems, for me at least.

Post subject:  Separate first person animations from world view fov hack?

After reading the widescreen explained post at 2k games I sent them an idea which I wanted to ask you guys about. Bioshock was designed with a particular screen size and fov in mind as they explained. Now if we were to play at their default fov even for their widescreen setting I think we all agree its like having a big sniper scope on...thus the hack from racer s.

Now the hack looks awesome and works great but it would be nice to be able to keep the first person animations as they were intended which in the TH2G would place them mostly on the side screens similar to the default view. At the same time still allow the world view the correct fov hack changes to "unzoom" the view for a correct 4:1 aspect ratio.

It does seem that when adjusting the fov with the hack the game physics of distance does not exactly match up. For example when you swing at an object you can hit something that seems like its too far away.

I just think this would be the perfect combination but can it be done? The only reason I mention it could be done is the fact that I have been messing around for the perfect realistic combo of this sort with the cockpit view of GTR2. With a realistic view driving a sim car feels better. Playing a shooter with a nicely set triple head just makes it look awesome and the fun factor goes up even more.

Hey ... welcome to the forum ... 8)

Hmmmm
I completely disagree ...
The hack changes the aspect ratio and the FOV ... not the relationship of the player and the world and so how can it affect the matching up of the physics and the distances ... ? ...
