I havent played as Infected yet so didnt realise the HUD needed more editing.. :shock:

Ok, here is the 3840x1024 hud.. should be around for a while now. Extract to

This sets pretty much everything you need to the center screen, unfortunately I could not figure out how to move kill notices (but those aren't too important anyway).

Paddy, any chance you could update your OP with this link, I would hate for people to look through the entire thread for find the HUD.

Downtown, hats off to you and your pro editing skills (using "/" notes to document your changes throughout, so handy)!

I used "Compare It" (http://www.pcdownloadworld.com/prgdb/compare-it.htm) to show the differences between the original files and your version, adding 768 to the "xpos" entries where appropriate to give 5040x1050 correct HUD for Vs and COOP modes as well as any and all other changes you suggested in the files.

I played a quick round of Infected and Survivors and it looked correct in both.


I uploaded to:

And kept all your naming conventions etc.

I'm very glad to hear that! Looks like my hypothesis was right about adding 600 for 3840 users and 768 for 5040 users.

So from now on the hardest part about fixing the HUD for any Source game will be figuring out which values to change, not what the value should be changed to.

UI still works with new update, just recopy the files.

EDIT: Whoops, they moved some stuff around and added a panel, old UI does not work completely.
