Okay the topic title sucks, but I was so happy to come up with the MMMM acronym
This thread is just for fun anyway. It is NOT a selection of the "best" menus. Functionality/ergonomics/design of the menu items, although obviously all-important in-game, have no value here as long as they don't hide too much of the glorious Hor+ 3D underneath.

Would a title like 'Enlarge my backdrop' be any less misleading ?

How did you get the GRID menu to show up properly? Mine is zoomed in so I can't even see what I'm selecting.

Is your game up-to-date ? Patch v1.1 fixed the menus in Surround. Latest version is 1.3.

Doh! I hadn't played it in so long I forgot about patching. Steam has spoiled me, and alas this wasn't a steam game for me.

This is a great thread. Should start adding these to the wiki, and consider making it part of the widescreen gaming compatibility ranking.

Jack Keane : from the "more to sea" series... Too bad the transparent map overlay stretches.
4:3

48:10

Metro 2033 : almost a "pillarboxed" scene with most objects grouped in the central area, but even 16:9 users can't quite see that light from behind the Quit door cast on the left wall !
4:3

48:10

Rig'n'Roll : although the game is not strictly Hor+, even static screens take advantage of multiple monitors.
The diner...
16:10

48:10

The truck shop...
16:10

48:10

Dirt 2 : thanks to duniek's insane setup, we can compare 3x to 9x 16:10... I thought the caravan cam was a bit Vert-, but apparently it's the camera pitch that changes with the AR.

144:10

Arma2: Operation Arrowhead
Enjoy Takistan's desert plains and pipelines to the fullest.

48:10

16:10

48:10

Crimes of War (Übersoldier 2)
The allied squad coming from the right is a bit reminiscent of Wolfenstein's nazi patrol... with clumsy pathfinding. Natively Hor+ game, though.
16:10

48:10

Hegemony: Philip of Macedon
The rider model shrinks a little bit in all multi-mon resolutions, no idea why. All other models in the game retain their sizes in all aspects.
16:10

48:10

Zeno Clash
The landscape appears to be a 16:9 image that gets mirrored and repeated in multi-mon. Still lookin' good - except for that weird beheaded avatar on the left.
16:10

48:10

Stranglehold
Consolish menus don't suck so bad when there's a mix of still & slomo 3D scenes going on in the back. And all this natively Hor+, unlike the game itself.

48:10

Splinter Cell: Conviction
Beautifully executed, yet shameless plagiarism of the Stranglehold menus. Come to think of it, both games have quite a few other similarities...

Time for a MMMM Special...

Disciples 3: Renaissance
The main menu is a fly-by visit of a randomly picked faction's capital city. A video would probably look much better, but what can I say, I'm an old-school screenie b!tch.

The Empire's fortress...
16:10

48:10

The elves' giant hollow tree...
16:10

48:10

The campaign selection screen is also a treat in multi-mon.
16:10

48:10

Windowed mode and a super-wide resolution will even confirm that the Undead Hordes are on the way (in the yet-unreleased-in-Russia expansion Resurrection)...

Widescreen: the Elven Alliance is the last faction to the right, you wouldn't suspect anything...
1680x1050

Multi-mon: oh what's that on the right screen ? Green mist, dead trees, iron fence, Giger-style pillar, could this be...?
5040x1050

Faux überwide multimon (roughly 4x 16:9): yep, that's a cemetary-themed faction cubicle alright... with no avatar yet. Nice statue, though. (On the far left, the Legions of the Damned representative says hi.)

Halo 2
Blue-filtered flyby and delicately melancholic music: oddly enough for a sci-fi shooter, this main menu tries really hard to make players cry.

4:3 (taken from a random YouTube video)

48:10 + bezel comp. (posted by Leapo in the DR thread)

Venetica
Not much to see, but still. Save your game during a nighttime sequence and darkness will fall over the main menu.

16:10

48:10

16:10

48:10

Singularity
Neat real-time rendered interface. Each submenu sits on a different area of the map, à la SC:Conviction - only without people in stopped motion, and with the added treat of a truly post-apocalyptic main title.

Medal Of Honor
Normally a AC-130's camera feed shouldn't be Hor+, but hey !

16:10

48:10

Need For Speed: World
Hor+ garage... always a nice menu backdrop, even more so when the game is free.

16:10

48:10

Mafia 2
Although the main menu itself sits on a video loop, the Carcyclopedia is Hor+.

16:10

48:10

Bloody Good Time
Another 2D main menu, but it turns to Hor+ 3D when a map is loaded.

16:9

48:9 + bezel comp.

Test Drive Unlimited 2
Great Hor+ 3D, awfully stretched 2D: the opening screen is a good sample of the whole game.

16:9

48:9 + bezel comp.

Stoked Big Air Edition
Mountain ranges: best served across multiple screens.
