I also needed to turn off SLI in order to get a decent framerate. Otherwise it was really choppy. Still, I was hoping for better FPS with my specs.

How many FPS are you guys gettings?

Keep in mind ME's engine was definitely NOT designed for that sort of extreme aspect ratios. The way the lighting works has a huge impact on performance beyond a 16:9 AR. Not to mention the limited VRAM available to SLI'ed GTX275 - especially with PhysX on, that's a lot to handle for the primary card.
When the framerate is a problem, lowering the resolution helps a lot. 3x 1280x800 is what I used the most in ME. And the FOV hack works great in single-screen modes too by the way ;)

Sounds like you're not using the camera hack :?

Hmm, just gave it a try to test out my new Eyefinity rig, and for some odd reason, I can't even get it to work... I press * on the numpad and I still have the same viewport as before...disappointing... :(

Have you tried the checkbox that starts it automatically? I forget the exact text. Also, did you try the recommended FOV settings? The default ones will not change the image at all when you press '*'.

For 3840x1024 (3.75:1) - Aspect 3.75 FOV 0.012575
For 5040x1050 (4.8:1) - Aspect 4.8 FOV 0.013500

You might just need to play around with it so see what works for you.

Yeah, I've tried both the auto enable box and the numpad * key, but neither change the viewport past its standard anamorphic resolution.

I have it set for 5040x1050, my resolution as well. I remember having problems with this hack with my TH2go as well... Don't remember how I fixed it...

So the sliders on the FOV Hack do nothing to the image?

I use these settings (it's not right in the picture):
Aspect: 4.8
FOV: 0.0135

EDIT: And I'm assuming you are leaving the FOV Hack program running while the game is going?
