To set it back to 1680x1050 the config file is here:
C:Documents and Settings[User]My DocumentsEA GamesMirror's EdgeTdGameConfigTdEngine.ini

Set it back to 1680x1050, then you can go ingame and change it to 5040x1050 and it should work again. Also make sure AF is off.

Hey, any chance there's a way to kill the black bars on a 16:10 monitor at 1440x900?

[quote][quote]just got home and tried it..

with triplehead on at 4320x900 it runs like a SLIDESHOW :(

I have to set everything to low just to get about 15-20 fps.

but at 1650x1050 (no AA + 16xAF) it runs butter smooth.

strange engine as UT3 runs butter smooth at 4320x900 with all eyecandy on

um i have a 9800gt oc 1gb and i can run it at 5040x1050 high / high

no aa

26fps outside
35+ inside

runs great on my card q6600 + 2gb ram + 9800gt 1gb oc 700core

ur 9800gx2 should kill it?

i'm using 178.13 drivers xp32

btw GAME IS FRIKEN AWESOME IT'S AMAZING AT 5040X1050 AMZAGGGGGGINNNNNNNNZZZZ
only problem is aa turned on at 5040x1050 will require over 1gb ram else it will crash :P + there are reflection issues with the racer s patch but other than that it's perfect!!!

I installed it, changed the resolution to 5040x1050 and now the game is crashing, i cannot get past the splashscreen. I've tried turning off PhysX and it's still crashing. I figure its a problem with this resolution but i cannot get back ingame to change it, nor can i find a config file where i could edit the resolution back to 1680x1050. When your saying you need at least 1GB of memory, is that video memory or just memory in general?

1gb video memory with aa without aa my card uses about 700megs ur sli gtx260 should kill it! Try install the new patch + new nv drivers

The copy of the game i was using was from um "Questionable Origins" heh. So I think its just a problem with the copy of the game. I was able to select 5040x1050 without it crashing when i turned off AA but when i ran the game it crashed. I'm trying to decide how much i really wanna play this game.

First off thanks for the hack Racer_S.

I think this might be an ATI thing, but mine also runs terribly when I change the res to 3840x1024, and it doesnt even fill the screens, looks like a crushed version of 1440x900 or something. The FPS drops horribly as well.

PC Specs:-

i920
6gig DDR3 PC12800
Ati 4870X2 (2gig)
DTH2GO

Try disabling Catalyst A.I.

I also use the ATI 4870x2 and with Catalyst A.I enabled the game is unplayable. Without Catalyst A.I it runs fine.

Can someone with a 16:10 monitor please do a DR for this game. I'd like to get that one out to the public.

Buggered if I can get this game running in 5040, the start up vids are fine (dang I missed the shoe!):

But the menu is stuffed

And the in game is weird. Not only do I get the image below but I rotate on the spot as soon as I am in the game.

This happens with the hack on auto enable...

EDIT: when I use manual hitting * and / don't make any difference to the image.
EDIT2: the spinning on the spot is not related to surround, happens all the time so ignore that...No DR from me sorry Ibrin...makes me feel sick

I cannot seem to get my dual screen setup working with this either. As with Mach1.9pants, I still get the vertical letterboxing both when the fix is run in autoenable and manual enable. When enabled, however, there is a strange doublevision effect, almost as if the game was trying to be stereoscopic.

Important to note is that I am using the Steam version, running a GTX 260 - 216 core, on Vista Ultimate x64.

I'd be willing to provide any in-depth support information required to help Racer_S fix this once and for all.

So....I'm sure the hack Racer_S made probably does that, but I have no idea what the FOV setting would be. Anyone know?
