Hi! :)
I wanted to buy a new monitor for gaming and I want to explore my options. I am still learning, don't make fun of me :D I need your help!
Currently, I have XPS Tower Special Edition i5-8600K 6-core processor and have only one monitor which was recommended when I bought the pc- Alienware 25 AW2518H. I wanted to start playing on 2 monitors and was thinking whether I should buy the same one or the Asus MG279Q, which I think is a bit better than mine. What would you suggest if you were in my shoes? I am open to other models as well, don't have that big budget though.

Hi,
Playing on two Monitors is not recommended. Most games are center fixated. So everything important is in the center (i.e the crosshair) so using 2 Monitors will have the bezel in the middle which will block the view directly.
Not really useful.

Makes sense. Thank you so much for the information! I can save some money then and buy myself a better pc! :) I've watched some videos on youtube of gamers playing on 2/3 monitors, and I thought this is the next step I should take.

Well yes, 3 Monitors are fine.
But 2 is a simple no go for most games.
Only very few games support that.

Oh, I see. So, should I buy 2 of those or stay with the one I have since I am a beginner still?

Depends if your GPU has enough power for 3 Monitors :)
You need about 2.5x more Performance for Triplewide than a Single screen.
Oh, and if you're running a nVidia GPU using different Monitors is not recommended as it might not work in nVidia Surround.
