All ingame books/scrolls/Journal's interface/menu are completely broken. Once an individual opens a book or scroll, you can not get out of it. Clicking on "Take" isn't possible, because it's off screen. This is very similar to the Skyrim's menu issue when the game first came out.

Morrowind GoTY edition Retail Copy

Morrowind Overhaul 3.0 [Includes Morrowind Graphics Extender XE 0.9 which adds support for 3x1080p]

Can't exit out of Books/Scrolls

Journal's menu is too large.

Scrolls/Papers' menus are too large as well.

Mouse Cursor is too large as well. Kind of annoying

Menus via the right click is fine. All of the windows can be adjusted. :D Working!

UPDATED: Explanation & Installation:
For anyone that is wondering what Morrowind Overhaul [v3.0] is, it is a mod that is truly impressive for today's graphic standards. It holds up well with Skyrim. I kid you not!

Real inGame shots with only Morrowind and the Overhaul 3.0 installed. Installation is easy, install Morrowind and then install Overhaul 3.0. The whole process is 20 minutes or less.

Morrowind still has many modders working on improving the game experience [even rewriting the engine ie OpenMorrowind]

In any case this issue and many others is fixed by the current

Morrowind Code Patch

http://www.nexusmods.com/morrowind/mods/19510/?

From readme:

- Book and scroll scaling fix. Makes books, scrolls and the journal scale to fit wider screens by examining the screen height instead of the width. Fixes issues with multi-monitor setups, where the book would be larger than the screen, with all buttons off-screen.

If you are interested in getting the most out of the game a new youtube channel has been started which provides an immense amount of information and links for Morrowind and its mods.

For the problem with the journal, use Morrowind FPS Optimizer. http://www.nexusmods.com/morrowind/mods/3875

Whenever I install morrowind, I use this tool to fix the journal the right way.
