Please do not misunderstand, I love that you are doing this stuff and testing the limits for these card configurations. But every time you post one of these setups that you get working I imagine you bankrupting yourself. Are you borrowing these monitors from work or something?

All monitors is mine, I bought them for cheap (I will not write about details, but I paid 30-40$/each average) SO 15 of them still cheaper than one GTX480 in PL.
now I am selling it whout lose any money (even with profit) I collected all of them from auction portal (similar to ebay) for 10months

So this wasnt easy like some people think, I go to shop and buy 15 monitors for zilion dollars, made setup, and sell. NOPE.
All is calculated, also I bought rest of stuff in similar way, some parts are from USA (30% cheaper than my country) (shipping takes 3-4 weeks but I am patient) so no problem

Finally about borders, I AM NOT NOTICED THEM, dont bother to me. OF course will be better with thinner bezels but I dont have problem with stock bezels.

I was this way with most setups, but when I did 5x1 with 23" Monitors with 1" Bezels, I got pissed off. Initially I was okay, but then I went and overlapped the bezels and then it got worse because Every other monitor was off. So I said f--- this and bought 30"rs. Eventually I want to go 5x1 Portrait 30"rs 8000x2560 :D It'll be beautiful.

Awesome :cheers

A question: How about the 8000 limit for DirectX9?, How did you overcome that limit?

It's actually 8192, but it really seems that that rule of thumb does work often. I have played a lot of game over that limit. I guess it depends on the engine.

I know it´s 8192, but it´s supposed to be directx10 maximum resolution, not engine dependent. Anyway fine for me. Maybe do 5x2560x1600 in the future.

I'm going to try. That'll be way in the future though. I figure after I get my 3rd 30" and pay off my speeding ticket, I want to buy a car. :P

Very interesting, but there was a reason why I quit on monitors after successfully using 6 in gaming in 2008. If you can pick up LCDs on an auction site, you can also pick up projectors too. IMHO, the next logical step is get 5-6 1080p projectors and be a daredevil and portrait rotate them. I've seen the BenQ W1000 do rotated 1080p for at least 10 hours on without overheating, so I know it's technically possible to push some serious pixels on a 6 portrait 1080p projector setup too.

BenQ will say it's not supported but at the AMD Tech Day for the 6800-series we did experiment with 5 1080p projectors in one setup.
