Over the past weekend, I got some new monitors that each do 1920x1080. I have them working in Windows at 5760x1080. I can even drop the Windows resolution down to 1920x1080 if I want and that works OK.
But, in games (namely, I've tried Skyrim and GTA IV so far), when I switch the resolution to 1920x1080 in games, the monitor goes into power save mode. I can alt-tab back to Windows and I notice that the game is attempting to run in a window. It has this same behavior regardless of the refresh rate I pick (so far I've tried 50Hz, 59Hz, 60Hz).
I did some forum and Google searches but haven't seen anything on this. Has anyone else seen this kind of problem?
My prior rig used 3x1680x1050 (5040x1050) just fine for a couple of years so I'm pretty surprised at how difficult this is turning out to be.
