Hello from Germany,

This is my first post in your forum that was recommended to me as world 1 leader in discussing and solving multi screen matters.

My PC with nVidia GTX285 I built mainly for FSX, with 3 Samsung BW226 22" monitors connected via digital TH2go to the first DVI out put, and a fourth touch screen monitor (brand: Q22) 21.5" connected to the second DVI output. The three monitors are runnig with 5040x1050 resolution and the 4th monitor with 1920x1080. The setip works perfectly with the latest DXM version and nVidia driver v182.50.

The problem:

When I run FSX in fullscreen across the main 3 monitors with 5040x1050 set in FSX settings (DX10 disabled), the resolution of the 4th monitor will be reduced to something like 1***x7** so that reading the 2D-panel instruments is a torture!!!

The main reason for buying the 4th monitor is for monitoring the cockpit's 2D intruments so that I can have a complete panoramic view from the 3 other monitors!

The reduction of the resolution occurs only with the fourth monitor and only when I switch to full screen!

Any help please?

Am I having this problem alone? Or maybe did I made the wrong monitor choice?

Hi,

did you set the resolution in FSX for the 4the monitor ?

in FSX options you have 2 resolutions to set :

first for the main 3 monitors with 5040x1050 and second for the 4the monitor with 1920x1080.

As said above, make sure you have set the two resolutions within FSX. I currently run a 3840x1024 setup together with a 1920x1200 without issue within FSX doing the same thing you are looking to do.

The only issue I have is that my card (a GTX8800) doesn't like the two resolutions set with both outputs at 60Hz - I'm assuming it's a bandwidth thing, so I have to knock one of the outputs down to 59Hz using a custom resolution with the nVidia control panel applet.

If you still can't get it to work in FSX double check your resolutions in windows are actually as you think they are.
