Hey all. I'm having a couple issues that hopefully someone can help me with. First, here's a list of my relevant system specs: Video Card: Geforce 9800 GTX (with 2 digital outputs) Displays: 3 of the same Dell monitors: Native Resolution: 1920x1080 Device: Matrox Triple Head to Go-digital Operating system: Windows 7 Latest Nvidia drivers Latest firmware / Matrox drivers Current desktop resolution: 5040x1050 (59Hz) / 1680x1050 (3x1) Configuration: Video Card Output 1 ----> TH2G -----> TH2G Ports 1, 2, 3 -----> To all three monitors. Video Card Output 2: Unused My current issue: The resolution 5040x1050 results in a subpar, stretched and distorted resolution. While this is acceptable for gaming (albeit annoying), I currently need to turn off my other 2 monitors and run in 1920x1080 x 1 when working on any type of productivity software where aspect ratios make a difference. In the past: The way I got around this with Windows Vista: I ran one single monitor to the Video Card: output 2, and utilized only 2 of the 3 ports in my TH2G. This achieved 1920x1080 x 3 desktop resolution (3840x1080 on the TH2G). For gaming, I downgraded my Nvidia drivers to (can't remember the specific nomenclature) a version that would allow me to add a custom resolution without "testing" and subsequently failing. Most video games picked up 5760x1080 as an available option and would allow me to run all three screens in windowed mode. This was a perfectly acceptable solution for me since productivity benefits > gaming perks. Unfortunately, downgrading back down to Vista, for me, is not an option. My own possible solution: Run the video card's output 2 to the 2nd output of my 3rd monitor. Then when running productivity software, switch the resolution to 3840x1080 x2 on the TH2G, enable the 2nd output on the video card (running at the monitors native resolution) and switch the 3rd monitor's input to "input 2". This would effectively give me back my 5760x1080 desktop resolution. For gaming however, it will still refuse to recognize 5760x1080 and I will have to switch back to the default setup. While this would solve my productivity problem, the gaming side will still suffer from degraded resolution. I'd like to avoid this step if at all possible. My question: Is there anything out there that will allow me to configure my setup back to what I had while running Vista? Mainly, is there anything, to any of your knowledge that will force a 3840x1080x2 / 1920x1080x1 to be recognized as 5760x1080, thereby treating the both outputs as one single monitor. I remember there being something out there about 3 years ago that did just this, but I can't remember the name of the program. Sorry if the above is confusing. If you can force yourself to read through that wall of text and give me any advice, I would be deeply appreciative. :bowdown |

Well really no, run my desktop having 2 output on TH2go (2x1920x1080) and I use the Second Output on my card with 3 monitor to have 1920x1080. Yes it is annoying not having 3 separate desktops or one giant one, but you'll need eyefinity to do this in win 7 or vista, As xp spanning were killed in the newer os's. I have been able to play games at 5760x1080 in windowed mode, but these i could configure with an .ini or some other out of game option. |
