x3 Samsung 22' monitors. All worked with 57 Hz
1x Dell 24'
Latest Matrox Firmaware, latest ATI drivers, latest Matrox drivers, etc...
Display in device manager is set up as triplehead display.

I want to be able to change the default monitor to the 24' dell on the other head.
Here's the story. It seems like ever since I moved from a GeForce 280 to the 4870X2 I can't change my main monitor. The option is grayed out or unavailable in every program imaginable (display settings, powerstip, CCC, and PowerDesk). My triplehead setup is currently set to the default monitor.
Nothing I do seems to help. If I try and mess with it (by using CCC to swap or by switching the cable connections to the heads) usually it ends with the computer sending unusable signals to both monitors and, even after a restart, ending up with no video at all.

Ever tried changing the resolution of a monitor on a computer incapable of sending video? Let me tell you - it was a pain. Can't do it in safe mode, can't do it in a remote session. Had to set up a startup script from a remote session.

Sometimes when I connect a second monitor the computer will complain that the display driver had to be shut down, and all my triplehead monitors will immediately turn off and everything will move to the new monitor until I restart. Display properties will be shot.
