Hi all

I get an error when I run the installer for the latest
vxp2k_gxm-veos_2_05_00_020_whql driver.

Installation ended premanturely because of an error.

I uninstalled my old version and restarted my pc and tried it again. Got the same error.

Any ideas?

Hi still no luck here with this.
I have downloaded the software, saving on my desktop. Will not run, always the same error.
I tried running it instead of saving it, same thing.
I tried installing in safe mode, same thing.

I finally had to reinstall from the disk that came with my unit. It has version 2.4.0.11.

I was able to update my units firmware to the latest, but the GXM software will not run?

I have the correct one, for TH2Go DE and Vista x64, but nothing I have tried will work to get the installer to continue to work. Once it unpacks the files, the error comes up.

I have everything working now, with the old version, but what is wrong with the new software that it will not install?

Oh yeah, I was able to install the latest SGU v2.11 just fine as well.

So what's the voodoo dance to get the GXM to install.

Thanks for any suggestions :)

Hi again

Really just a bump. I am still unable to install the downloaded software. I'm stumped :?:

I downloaded it again a few minutes ago.

I haven't clue why it isn't working. I'm able to install other programs just fine. So I don't think anything in my system is stopping it from installing.

Am I the only one ever to report this?

Am I don't something wrong?

I even tried extracting the downloaded file to a temp folder and tried right click > Install. Same error.

I'm having exactly the same problem. I don't have an answer either. I contacted Matrox Tech Support and they simply asked me to call them.

So, if you have the time, I don't right now, you can call and talk to Matrox Tech Support:

Please post something if you resolve your problem.

Thanks,

Chris

I've got the same error with win 7-32bit, then i did a install with win 7-64bit and it work. so i think the versions on the matrox website are mixed up.

Still no go here.

I did just now try the Vista (not the Vista x64) and it does the same thing.
So, it seems neither one will work for me.

Anyway, since I'm not the only one, maybe Matrox will look closer into this.
