Hello everybody I am new to TH2G, so please excuse my ignorance. My problem is that I’m having trouble choosing 3 monitors to use with TH2G digital edition. I have already looked through a lot of the forums for advice but I am still unsure as to which monitors to buy. I am planning to use 3 monitors with FSX and below is the spec of the system I’m looking at Intel 790i Chipset Core 2 Extreme QX9650 - SLI SETUP - 2 x NVIDIA GeForce GTX280 4GB Corsair DDR3 1600 RAM 300GB Raptor Gaming HDD (10,000RPM) Windows Vista Home Premium 8 Channel Surround HD Sound Coolermaster Cosmos S I haven’t ordered this system yet, but its going to cost £2500. I would appreciate any suggestions also about this system. is it ok for the price or not? Could anyone please suggest 3 good monitors to use with this system which would also be suitable for TH2G digital edition. Thank you very much Peter |

If you can wait, get the x58 motherboard with nehalem CPU. For GPU, go with ATI, 4870X2. If you play fsx, even the fastest PC out there can not run that game with everything on Max on high fps. Busy cities and airports will always kill the fps. |

ATI still has problems, no? His plan of GTX280s is a better option. I'd have a browse in the compatible screens thread, but bear in mind if you're buying in GBP that the relatively strong USD and threat of recession is currently killing our prices. I bought my 280 for £230, and they're ~£350 now! |

If you care about price at all I suggest GTX 260 SLI instead, it has the best bang for the buck. GTX 280 SLI gets a far worse bang for the buck than the GTX 260 SLI. Why are you buying a QXxxx Extreme series? Get the Core i7 (Nehalem) instead, it's the next gen technology and should cost about the same. Your ram is already DDR3 so it doesn't make any sense not to go that route. As for ATI, don't buy the HD 4870 X2 if you are going to buy triple widescreen, it doesn't support 5040x1050 and it looks very unlikely in the near future. |

I can suggest these monitors, but it looks like you are in the UK. Shipping might be a problem. As far as ordering a system, I would recommend the i7 system offered by Scan. They are a sponsor, and I know Paddy is happy with their product. |
