Alright so i purchased 2 new monitors a GTX260 and a new power supply, long story short the 260 is too big for my case so i think im going to just build a new PC in a week or 2. So i figured meanwhile i might as well take advantage of the 3 monitor setup, sure i wont be able to play many games if any on this 7800GT but whatever ill deal with it.

My problem is im running 3 22'' monitors and its only letting me use 1. The other 2 are black. I can open up the PowerDesk utility and "swap displays" to the next monitor but wont let me use all 3 at the same time. I updated the firmware to work with 3x1680x1050 and thats not an option on the list for me. Max i can go is 1280x1024@60Hz. I updated my nVidia drivers, didn't help. I read a page about the "Multiple Display Not Working with Matrox G400 DualHead Display Adapter" kinda sounds like my problem. I am running a TV capture card so I am going to try to take it out tomorrow (dead tired atm been at this all night) but i was going to see if you guys had run across this problem before so that tomorrow when i take the capture card out and it still doesn't work ill have an idea of what to do next. Thanks guys.

Oh another thing, don't know if it will help but it wont even let me select the "Bezel Management" button in the PowerDesk configuration screen, if that means something.

When i boot up i get the windows spash screen across all 3 screens but once i get to the login page the other 2 monitors turn off and im stuck with one. Sorry im rambling lol on with the answers!(i hope) :D

And, the newest BETA 177 drivers from NVIDIA don't seem to work. If you have them, roll back to 175.

4320x900 and 5040x1050 are not modes that appear in PowerDesk/GXM. However, they should appear in your Windows display properties once you have updated to the latest firmware. Have you looked there?

My monitor was being recognized as a Plug and play monitor so i followed those directions and installed the drivers for the matrox, but it looks like thats a fix to play games in 5040x1050 which is great... once i get there. Right now i'm stuck with only 1 monitor being recognized and the other 2 are black.

I looked there and the max resolution i can do is 3480x1024. Also in according to http://www.matrox.com/graphics/en/support/gxm/windows/th2go/digital/howto1/ you should be able to select or atleast see the 1680x1050 in the "Change display mode" option

I currently have 175.19_geforce_winxp_32bit_english_whql.exe installed.

Is there a way to see which firmware version I have installed? I know i updated but i want to be 100% sure.

... even if you choose 3840x1024 ?

Yes ... click the "Troubleshooting Information" button in the Matrox GXM Setup ...
It should be version ... 2.3.40

What make model monitors do you have ?
Can they do 57Hz ?

It does stretch across the three screens at that Resolution to my surprise so thats a step forward ty! now to get 5040x1050 selectable...

I'm running 2 Acer AL2216W and 1 Gateway FPD2185W
I'm not sure if they support 57Hz

Btw thank you guys very much for the fast responses and trying to help me :)

So im still trying to get 5040x1050 selectable. I went to the troubleshooting page on Matrox's site and the only way i can get 1680x1050 selectable is if i changed the number of monitors to 2 in the "edit mode list" screen, i add it to the available resolutions, computer restarts. So now i can get 1680x1050 x2 but the third monitor just goes black. I'm running out of ideas.
