i now have a chance to buy a second hand, though unused, gtx275
if i did that "all" my problems would probably be out the door straight away

seeing you all know alot more than me, can you tell me if that would be a major upgrade from 8800gtx, considering the following specs
i'm doubtfull because my pci-express slot is 1.0 and psu 500Watts

intel core 2 quad Q6600 2.4ghz
MSI P35 Neo-FI
Antec Sonata III Atx Case 500Watt Earthwatts
Western digital 320 gig SATA II
GEIL 2x2048 DDR2 800 Ultra dual channel
Asus 8800GTX 768mb Ddr3
