Paddy hi

i've just got my th2g digital and would like to have my centerscreen as default for everything when not playing, so xp start button and everything on my center screen, the left and right just black
i've sent a mail to matrox support and the told me to do this:

Uninstall PowerDesk software

2. Reboot

3. Install the latest version from http://www.matrox.com/graphics/en/support/drivers/download/?id=327

4. Once the software installation is finished, follow the Setup Wizard to setup this TH2Go.

5. You may firstly set it up in Triple Head mode and select the proper resolution for each monitor. Triple Head mode will be used for gaming in your case.

6. Once this works, you may save this setup in PowerDesk software

7. Then you may run the Wizard again to setup TH2Go in Single Head mode which means using only 1 monitor. Please note that for single head mode, the default output is No. 1 port on TH2Go, we can change it in PowerDeskàSwap Display.

8. Once you have the image output to the center display, you may then save this setup in PowerDesk

After the above is done you should be able to switch between the two different display setups in PowerDesk.

so i do have the latest version and your instructions don't seem to work for this version
i saved the triple display setup with a hotkey
did like the man asked for the singe head mode, so default is my left screen now
but there is no "swap display" button anymore in this version, only a hotkeu to "swap active window" which could mean the same
only when doing that (remember my left screen is on, center and right are black)
i get a popup from powerdesk saying
"the cells on your desktop may be too small for your active window or there may be only one cell on ur desktop. Powerdesk can't move the active window to another cell"

i hope you can help me because the support team doesn't reply anymore
calling from belgium this'll cost me too much to call them

I have the exact same problem, no matter what I do, or how I set up the displays, when I launch games that don't support triplehead, they are always always on the left monitor.

I solved this by plugging in the 2nd dvi port on my video card to the analog port on the 2nd monitor, so I just swap settings in the nvidia control panel, and done.

Had to do that for my blu-ray drive to watch movies till I got anydvd.

I tried this method, but i have 1440x900 screens, this is only support through the triplehead mode, not single monitor mode. Is there a work around?

a pity you did not share the solution with the forum... have the same problem here... "cell is to small to swap..." and as it seems i need to check in at Matrox Support to get that screenshot too... and a solution to the left hand default screen...

Did this on a Windows XP x64...

Step by step guide to switch the monitor to the center:

1. You need to have the new firmware 6.56
a. go here: http://www.matrox.com/graphics/en/support/drivers/
b. choose product and OS
c. load the Software Suit 2.05.00.020
d. load the Firmware utility t6.56

2. Install the Software Suit and run the Wizard to a Single Screen resolution native to your displays.

3. Start the Firmware Utility with the Matrox connected to a USBport directly in your PC
a. make a backup of your current firmware!!
b. restart the firmware utility!
c. update your firmware using the tool. It should point directly to the .pgk-file you need.

4. Start the Matrox PowerDesk
a. go to Multi-Display Setup and then open the GMX dropdown menue!
Menue should look like this:

b. press "Swap Displays" once.
c. the screen is now in the center display. there is a test splash screen over it all white... just click it!
d. save a profile as "SingleScreen"
e. end Matrox PowerDesktop

5. run the Wizard from the start menue and set to a triple screen setup with three times native to your display.

finished...
