Hi guys

I've been a lurker for a few weeks now and have been researching my first steps into triple screen gaming.

I went to my local PC shop to ask about possible 57Hz monitors but they have proposed that I do not need to buy a matrox TH2G to achieve triple screen gaming - they say that WinXP can natively manage this as long as I have more than one graphics card.

I was under the impression that (unless I used SoftTH) the PC would not be able to spilit single images across two cards, so I would end up with a game spread across two monitors and the other monitor sitting there displaying something else entirely. Is that correct?

Multiple answers and links to other sites confirming this would be great as they are quite convinced it would work!

Thanks

depends on the game in fact
some games support a few monitors but they are very rare in any case

your local PC shop is probably inexperienced enough

as you said yourself, for proper game triple screen support you either need :
-softTH (no 57Hz limitation)
-TH2GO
-Mview (no 57Hz limitation)
-TH2GO Display Port + Display port gfx card (no 57Hz limitation)
-or wait that ATI eyefinity is really what the rumors are saying ;)

the keyword being "game", not "windows" ;)
