I've been using a 3x24" (U2410's) eyefinity setup for a over a year now and I'm considering upgrading my setup to a 3 projector setup.
Ideally I would like to do 1080p projectors but I'd like to keep the cost down to ~$1000 per projector.
3D capability would be nice to have, I'm just not sure how 3D looks on the periphery through glasses, i.e. when your peripheral vision picks up a 2d image yet forward vision picks up a stereo image.

I would love to also do a curved screen (no more bezels!!) so I can use Nthusim.
I've seen some setups that have 3 flat screens butted up to one another and then edge blended, but if I'm going to go this far, I want to try a curved screen.

In terms of screen size, I think I would like to keep the height at a minimum to help keep the pixels sharp.
Would a 3-4ft screen height be ok?? I would be sitting roughly 4-6ft away.

What are some good options for projectors and rigid mounting options?
Not sure if I can do a ceiling mount at first (I am going to try to budget for them...), it might have to be a bookcase or something similar.

What are some good resources on DIY curved screens?
Thanks!!

I have just tried some optoma gametime gt700 projectors and they worked out better than expected for $600 each.
you can see a video here in daylight conditions.

As for DIY we have some high end screen material for edge blend and short throw projects at $15.99 per sq foot.

The main thing your looking for is low gain maybe .7 an wide view angle of maybe 85 degrees.

Hope this helps
