A new beta driver has been released with eyefinity 2.1. It can been downloaded from Guru3D: link. Sadly this driver doesn't support the 7xxx series.

EDIT: Official link to AMD page.

Release notes:

Feature highlights of the AMD Catalyst™ 12.2 driver:

AMD Eyefinity 2.1 technology enhancements
Additional resolution support: Users can now choose from a larger set of resolutions when running AMD Eyefinity
Dynamic Configuration Changes: Switching between different display configurations will occur automatically when physically plugging/un-plugging displays
HydraVision™ enhancements: The Windows Task bar can now be moved and resized based on users preference
Profile Manager improvements: Increased support for Display Groups (including 5x1) and Extended configurations within the Profile Manager

The 12.2 preview is the same as 12.1 whql accept for the 2.1 eyefinity changes and some bugfixes (known problems with win7).

Tried the 7970 drivers.
Seems to work OK. Only played Skyrim for a bit and the FPS aren't any worse.

I still don't have 5760x1200 or 3600x1920 yet. Le sigh. I thought it said "Additional resolution support: Users can now choose from a larger set of resolutions when running AMD Eyefinity" where as I still have the same dumb custom resolutions. 3150x1680 and 2400x1280. Just curious, those of you who run 1920x1200 monitors in eyefinity, are those your custom resolutions?

I am pretty sure it has to be based on the aspect ratio of your displays.

how is 5760x1200 not supported? Thats your native res right?

I run 5940x1200 because of bezel compensation, but I am going to try a lower res now for Skyrim since I think that is enabled, but maybe bezel compensation messes it up.

My math is this 5940x1200 based on 16:10
Next lowest res for me to try to see if i can get higher frames is 1680x1050

I used excel and did a little formula 1200/1050 = 1.14
then 5940/1.14 = 5197

So if I can keep bezel compensation the resolution I want to find or create is 5197x1050.

Does not sound like a lot but I think it will help. When you do the math.

Just installed and tried it out.

I got 3 resolutions to choose from.

5760x1200
5040x1050
2400x600

The CCC does not show me my bezel comp actual resolution but it does work! there is a bezel comp res section and you can set it up.

It gave me 5292x1050 pretty close to what I calculated. Now let me see if I can get that 3rd monitor to fill for some reason its 1:1 to the resolution, probably hardware setting on the monitor iteslf (yep it was)
5940x1200 = 7128000
5197x1050 = 5457375

That is almost a 40% difference in pixel count.

Edit: just found the custom resolution setting its different than the ones I can choose from the display setup. I have just one option right now 3840x800 but I think its based off my current res of 5292x1050

center monitor task bar works in eyefinity, OMG yes!

Just tested Skyrim 60fps solid when not recording and I can get 25/30fps now instead of 15 yes! Happy day for me.

You can easily see the loss of sharpness on say desktop, but in game its fine.

My native resolution is 2560x1600. In eyefinity, so far, the only way for me to get 1920x1200 is to add a monitor to the group that doesn't do above that.

So far, with only my 30"rs, I get 7680x1600 and 5040x1050. I would have thought that the next logical resolution would be 5760x1200.

I just installed this to try out their centered taskbar solution. Centering it does work but is not perfect on my end. This could be due to me running WindowBlinds on my rig. Can someone test this bit and see if you're getting visual glitches with the start panel/menu? On my end, the left half is drawn correct but the right half is missing its background. But text and highlights are drawn. Another thing I noticed is the Jump List, which seems to be flushed to the left rather than above its associated program. Again, this could be due to me running WindowBlinds. I need someone else to check this bit to see if it happens on their end so I can confirm it is a global issue and not a software conflicting issue.

One tech question... should I still bother installing the CAP? I'm unsure if each Catalyst release has cumulative CAPs packaged in it.

With these drivers i setup an eyefinity group (5040x1050) then add bezel compensation (5292x1050)
then create a preset.
Now if i switch to another preset (single display of duplicated) then switch back to my eyefinity preset I lose my bezel compensation.
Desktop reverts to 5040x1050

This sometime happens when you save a preset without applying it first. Please set bezel compensation again and save the preset under the same name and see what happens.
