In the future I'm considering buying one very good 120Hz LCD gaming monitor and two cheaper crappy 60Hz LCD monitors for the sides. I know in CCC for the desktop you can have the different monitors running at different Hz but the problem is when running a game you only can choose the Hz for the whole combined resolution, so if i choose 120Hz in game then my two side monitors would go off.

Is there any way or any software or hacks that would allow you to run games with one monitor at 120Hz and the other two at 60Hz?

cheers.

Not that I've found; I run a CRT in the middle and it's locked at 60hz when it's working right. There is some bug that makes it stay @ 85hz, but when it does the text output is very blurry. Definitely not a bug I'd prefer....

So on the games that doesnt have the option to choose refresh rate, is it posible to run the center monitor at 120hz and the sides 60hz?

don't choose 120Hz in a game then.
You wouldn't do the same using only a 60Hz monitor, would you?

It is normal that the 60Hz monitors then turn off. lol they can't show 120Hz

What I have always wanted to know, if it's possible to have 2x60Hz monitors and 1x120Hz monitor, play games in surround at 60Hz and play games in 3D on one monitor at 120Hz - without unplugging the 60Hz ones.

My thinking behind this was that the drivers MAY always use the slowest monitor for all? Meaning the 120Hz one would run at 60Hz as long as there are other 60s in the setup.
Looks like thats not the case?

Leki kinda answered my question I think. However, I won't be upgrading to 3D anytime soon.. it was just some idea.

Wrong.

I'm running 3x 1920x1200 monitors - FW900 in the center, 24" dell LCDs on the side.
in EyeFinity -the centered monitor is at 85Hz, side monitors are at 60
