Does eyefinity require a high amount of RAM ? Asking because most of the reviews here has the test setup with either 8GB (1156/am3) or 12GB (1366). Would going with the normal 2x2GB be sufficient for EF gaming with 1/2 internet browsers open ?

Not really a problem for me. If I extend the monitors as long as I'm not trying to run 2 demanding games and some web browsers etc at once it should be fine. I rarely go above 4gb of actually usage except when running a second game/movie. I do run some nice firefox extensions like bartab which cut down on browser memory usage though.

There is a difference between video ram and computer ram. Generally speaking, the more the better of both.
