I can't seem to find any definitive info on this.

It seems as though the new 6000 series cards support some kind of "3DHD" or something to that effect. So, does this also mean that we can now run Eyefinity with (3) 120hz LCD screens, at 120hz with the native driver right out of the box? And what if these three screens are all DVI based, and using that new $30 Sapphire DP>DVI adapter?

You have been able to do 120hz eyefinity since the 5000 series. You cannot do 1080 120hz with single link. You will need either a native displayport 1.1 or 1.2 monitor which supports 120hz, or an active dual link adapter with 120hz support with a 120hz DVI-D DL monitor.

Only one adapter exists to my knowledge that supports 120hz; the apple adapter.

One other now exists, but it has been untested. Monoprice recently released an active mini displayport 1.1 to DVI-D DL adapter.

Bottom line is; you cannot do 120hz with the saphire adapter. You can only do 120hz with 120hz monitors with either a DVI-D DL, or Displayport 1.1 or 1.2 connector.

Okay, so we've established that the single-link Sapphire adapter won't cut it.

So, with the Apple Dual Link adapter and (3) DVI based 120hz LCD's, you can just plug it in and, walla, 120hz across three screens?

Basicly, yes. But I believe you have to first individualy set the resolution and refresh rate of each monitor before creating a SLS eyefinity group.

I've yet to hear any reports that Eyefinity and HD3D will work together at this point. I'm hoping they will, as I'd like to use it with my dual projectors.

It would be foolish if they didn't. That would just be one more reason to go over to nVidia. Honestly, all their technologies should play nice with each other.

I agree, but the problem is that AMD doesn't really have their own 3d solution. They rely on tridef and iz3d for the 3d part, and just allow them access to their quad buffer.

This is true, but wont HD3D be their own concoction? Or is it still vendered out? Even iZ3D and tridef work with eyefinity.

If there's anyone around that's running three screen/eyefinity at 120hz, please let us know that it's working out of the box (or otherwise). I appreciate the folks stepping in to provide what they think "might" happen, but I'm really looking for someone that is actually doing it, maybe even post up a quick instruction video on how you set it up - so the rest of us can have some confidence that this is even possible.

Thanks in advance.

Here's what a little thing called the search bar can do for you.

ok ... With LOTS of tech frigging around I've got my: -

3 x 22" Samsung 2233RZ Eyefinity all running @120hz.

2xDVI, 1xMiniDP (the Apple one ... IT DOES WORK, and at 120hz .... don't bother with anything else because they don't support > 60hz as far as I can tell)

But: -

I had to create my own monitor driver using Pheonix and Moninfo to ONLY offer 120hz and 1680x1050.

iZ3D runs fantastic ..... a nice set of high quality Anaglyph glasses cost me $5.

SO ..........................

Stereo 3D & Eyefinity using DVI and MiniDP ....

NOTE: - I think I'm one of the very few on the planet to have achieved this .... go me :-)
