I have a 650w PSU and I think I can run two 5870s but with little head room to overclock my i5-750 and either card. Now that said, Without AA on how well would a single 5870 do in most games?

A single 5870 will run fine in all games except crysis and metro 2033. You may have to turn down a setting or two but it's not a big deal.

I use 1 5870 on 5760x1080 a lot. It works quite well. Though you may want to keep to 4xAA.
