okay, first off hello everyone

i have a 5870 eyefinity6 in a matx-sized computer, the idea being that i could bring it to friends houses and hook as many monitors as they have up to my computer
naturally this involves alot of plugging and unplugging of different monitors...
warning:tl dr
but it gets quite complicated , for example when i plug 3 monitors to the lowest 3 outputs, they go into clone mode... if i plug in a 4th display at the 4th output, i get an eyefinity 3x1 setup on the 3 old monitors , and the 4th monitor spans from that... but if i plug the 4th display on the 5th output, one of the old monitors get disabled , another clones the 4th display and the last old monitor spans...

sorry i had to make you read through all that tl;dr stuff, but the gist of it is that i want to make every single monitor i plug in do a clone, in case the monitor assigned as the primary display goes blank from being set an incompatible resolution

also, i have dabbled in making windows use different monitor .inf files precisely to try to solve the resolution problems, but i think i have only made it worse...

i dont want to reinstall the drivers, and i dont want to reinstall windows or anything... is there another choice?
