Hi Guys,

Please excuse my lack of knowledge in the World of multi-monitor gaming. I have setup a racing simulator. It is running the following:

7.2 Meter curved screen
Formula Renault Chassis
Frex wheel
Frex 3 pedal setup

i7 Chip
6gb RAM
XFX 5870 running on eyefinity
SOL7 warping software
Windows 7 32-bit (had to go to 32bit as Sol7 wont run on 64)

3 x Panasonic 4000 projectors

This is a pretty amazing system already. It is currently running in 5760 x 1080 with the projectors warped and blended through Sol7.

The thing is I now would like to improve the graphics and go to 3D.

The question I have is could it be possible to run an eyefinity 6 card with 6 projectors. Then use something like iz3d to run two 5760 x 1080 screens (one for left eye and one for right)?

This does not seem to be something that people have done too often so I cannot find a fix for this online. If it is not possible through eyefinity 6 does anyone know how it could be done?

Would really appreciate help form someone. Thanks in advance.

Regards,

Andrew.

I suggest you search in the forums here for more, I know that there are some other threads which also discussed this feature, though because I can't remember I will decline to comment (because this isn't something that I would do, so I will leave it to those that would :D )

Hi and welcome to the WSGF!

First, as a fellow sim racing enthousiast, i would love to see pictures of your setup.

To answer your question, it would probably be simpler to replace your projectors with 120Hz 3D capable units. Using six projectors to create a 3D image would cause massive headache in terms of image alignent and refresh synchronisation.
