Greetings.

I just built a new computer with an HIS 5750 with 1 DVI, 1 HDMI, and 1 DP; I only "play" FSX.

I can run two monitors no problem with:
DVI->VGA (VGA 1920x1080 monitor) and HDMI-> to DVI (DVI 1920x1200 monitor).

For now I'd like to use my 2 VGA 1920x1080 monitors in Eyefinity but I can't get HDMI->VGA to work by itself. I should say I cannot get HDMI->DVI->VGA to work using a HDMI->DVI adapter attached to a DVI->VGA adapter.

In other words I'm tyring to run this combo:
DVI->VGA (VGA 1920x1080 monitor) and HDMI->to DVI->VGA (VGA 1920x1080 monitor) but the HDMI->VGA just doesn't seem to work. CCC will not recognize the HDMI->VGA monitor.

Does HDMI->VGA simply not work or is it likely that HDMI->DVI->VGA is the problem?

I'd appreciate any feedback, thanks.

That really isn't easy. As the HDMI cab;e is a high output Digital signal, you would need some sort of reverse conversion box that may cost as much as $200USD.

Also, I don't think that the HDMI has an analog signal, and this is why it requires a conversion box.

And here is a site that makes HDMI - DVI / VGA Conversion Cables. It's a rather expensive task.

Edit: it may be less expensive to just buy a new monitor :)

Get a displayport to VGA adapter. You can get them for cheap and they work. Eyefinity with 2 screens isn't so great though because the bezel is in the centre of the screen.
