so I bought the DP>vga converter

it works BUT

it is blocking my hdmi port becuase the adapter is so fat >_<

Now I need a very short anything longer than 5cm Dp male to DP female extention cable for cheap?

anyone seen one for cheap say under 10 bucks?

Getting one on the cheap is going to be tough, everything involving displayport is expensive.

Cheapest one I came across was 33.99 + 5.99 s&h

On a side note, do you know if you can run a vga > dvi connector through your dp > vga so you get

dp > vga > dvi

and still have it operational? I'm sure it wouldn't upscale back to digital, but if you only have dvi connectors it's a viable solution for those of use that can't find the dp>dvi dongles in stock.

A quicksearch on shopbot.ca shows the startech version (DPEXT6L) to be around 28$CDN.

On the startech site theres also DPPNLFM3 that's not an extension per-say but seems to fit if you don't need more than 3ft, couldn't find a price or a place that sells it though.
